We had a few connection issues this month, but eventually 12 members joined the meeting.
In member news, please pray for Adele’s nephew Marcus Dalton, who was killed a few days ago; Ouida, who is having many aches and pains; and Amy, who is having a severe reaction to the vaccine. We welcomed Nancy as our new Chimes editor; the May edition is the one she will produce. Thank you, Nancy!
We discussed Chapter 3 of Pope Francis’ encyclical Fratelli Tutti.Members commented on how we are called to consider the innate dignity and worth of every human being and to promote their fullest development as a human and a child of God, regardless of where they are born, or their social or economic circumstances.
We then discussed Article 23 of our Rule, which deals with profession. Several members shared what permanent profession means to them and why they professed. We then spent a good deal of time sharing how ongoing formation affects our lives and how to improve our sessions.
We closed with evening prayer led by several different members. Thank you to all who attended!
