This month we had a combined business meeting and Rule discussion. Michele distributed and Larry presented and explained the Treasurer’s Annual Financial Report. In short: donations increased, we contained some costs, and were able to give more in donations and fund our apostolates. Thank you to all of you who donated more than their usual amount or who took upon themselves some costs of the fraternity.
Council also approved its Annual Fraternity Report. Since it is lengthy, it was not distributed.
Members then discussed Article 11 of our Rule, which deals with detachment from material goods and how we should live our life in this regard. There was much good sharing.
I AM PATRICK – MOVIE SHOWING
Council is planning a movie night outing for fraternity members on Wed, Mar 18. The movie, “I Am Patrick“, about 1 1/2 hours long, is a documentary of Saint Patrick. It is playing at the Regal Majestic Stadium 20 Cinema in Silver Spring (900 Ellsworth Ave.) at 6:30. Mark it on your calendar and plan to attend. Arrive early enough to purchase your own ticket (and soda or popcorn if you wish). We’ll meet inside the building but just outside the theater where the movie will play. More details will be announced at the Feb fraternity meeting and in the Feb Chimes.
